The following results include all DUI cases, even the ones involving high breath tests, accidents and clients with prior DUIs. Standard DUI’s refer to those cases not involving an accident, a high blood/breath test, or a client with prior DUIs.

2022 By the Numbers
Based on 82 DUI case Resolutions in the year 2022
AVOIDED: 83% of our clients facing standard DUI charges avoided a DUI conviction altogether in 2022!
- 64 clients (78%) in 2022 had their DUI charges dropped to a lesser charge of reckless
- 68 clients (83%) in 2022 facing any level DUI charge either had their charges dropped altogether or avoided a DUI conviction.
- 79 clients (96%) in 2022 either had their charges dropped, reduced or had their DUI level reduced.
BIG PICTURE Only 15 of 82 clients who’s cases were resolved in 2022 received a DUI conviction, many of whom had priors, felonies, were in an accident and/or had breath/blood results well over the legal limit.
2021 By the Numbers
Based on 79 DUI Case Dispositions
AVOIDED: 97% of our clients facing standard DUI charges avoided a DUI conviction altogether in 2021!
- 49 clients (well over half) in 2021 had their DUI charges dropped to a lesser charge of reckless.
- 54 clients (well over half) in 2021 facing any level DUI charge avoided conviction.
- 57 clients (well over half) in 2021 either had their charges dropped, reduced to reckless or had their DUI level reduced.
- Only 17 of 79 clients received a DUI conviction in 2021.
BIG PICTURE: 73% of ALL DUI cases that were resolved in 2021 either had their charges thrown out or reduced!
2020 By the Numbers
Based on 39 DUI case dispositions in 2020 as the pandemic was in full swing
AVOIDED: 100% of our clients facing standard DUI charges avoided a DUI conviction altogether in 2020!
- 27 clients (well over half) in 2020 had their DUI charges dropped to a lesser charge of reckless.
- 30 clients (well over half) in 2020 facing any level DUI charge avoided conviction.
- 31 clients (well over half) in 2020 either had their charges dropped, reduced to reckless or had their DUI level reduced.
- Only 8 clients received a DUI conviction…….

- 33 clients in 2019 had their DUI charges dropped to a lesser charge of reckless.
- 5 clients had their DUI charges dismissed or dropped outright.
- 3 clients had their higher DUI charge levels reduced.
- 38 clients (well over half) in 2019 facing any level DUI charge avoided DUI convictions.
- 41 clients (well over half) in 2019 either had their charges dropped, reduced to reckless or had their DUI level reduced.
- Only 14 clients received a DUI Conviction upon disposition in 2019.

AVOIDED: 87% of our clients facing standard DUI charges avoided a DUI conviction altogether in 2018!
- 26 clients in 2018 had their DUI charges dropped to a lesser charge of reckless.
- 5 clients had their DUI charges dismissed or dropped outright.
- 8 clients that year had their higher level DUI charges reduced.
- 31 clients (well over half!) in 2018 facing any level DUI charge avoided DUI convictions.

- Only 10 clients received a DUI Conviction upon disposition in 2017.

- 7 clients had their higher DUI charge levels reduced.
- 43 clients (well over half) in 2016 facing any level DUI charge avoided DUI convictions.
- 50 clients (well over half) in 2016 either had their charges dropped, reduced to reckless or had their DUI level reduced.
- Only 20 clients received a DUI Conviction upon disposition in 2016.
- 98% of those convicted received the minimum penalties.

- 9 clients had their DUI charges dismissed, dropped or found not guilty at trial.
- 3 clients had their higher DUI charge levels reduced.
- 38 clients (well over half) in 2015 facing any level DUI charge avoided DUI convictions.
- 44 clients (well over half) in 2015 either had their charges dropped, reduced to reckless or had their DUI level reduced.
BIG PICTURE: More than 60% of ALL DUI cases that were resolved in 2015 either had their charges thrown out or reduced!
*The following figures are verified by county clerk of court documents and only represent those cases that were disposed of in each of the respective calendar years outlined below. They do not relate to what year a new case was opened. The figures below do not include cases where a disposition was forced upon a client due to new arrest or bond revocation motions being filed, nor do they include cases still pending on appeal. “DUI Conviction” represents those clients facing misdemeanor charges only. “Standard DUI” refers to those misdemeanor cases where there was no accident, no priors and no breath/blood tests.
